2027 Discovery Gallery Exhibition Proposals

The Alberta Craft Council is calling for proposals for the 2027 Alberta Craft Discovery Gallery in Edmonton – a gallery dedicated to presenting innovative and dynamic exhibitions that challenge audience perceptions and inspire the public to discover the best in contemporary craft.

Alberta Craft is seeking artists to lead hands-on workshops for ENVIRON: Material Literacy & Repair Initiative, presented in conjunction with our upcoming feature exhibition ENVIRON. This public program series explores repair, reuse, and waste reduction through creative, skill-based learning.
We’re looking for accessible workshops on topics like:
Textile repair & visible mending
Ceramic repair
Small household object repair
Material reuse & transformation
Low-tech approaches to extending material lifespan

The Alberta Craft Council is inviting artists to submit workshop proposals for programming at the Alberta Craft Gallery + Shop Calgary.
We deliver monthly craft- focused workshops and talks that engage the public with craft practices and highlights the work of craft artists. This open and ongoing call is intended to support future programming by identifying artists and workshop ideas that can be scheduled as opportunities arise.
