We are excited to team up with Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies & Krista Leddy to offer this custom tour and and beading workshop.

This Tour and Workshop includes:

  • Guided tours of the Breathe Mask exhibition and Bev Tosh’s exhibition – About Face

  • Tour of Archives

  • Brief overview of the Recognizing Relations project and peek at the vault

  • Heritage Homes Tour – Guided tour of the homes of Peter and Catharine Whyte and Philip and Pearl (Brewster) Moore. Learn their stories and influences on this community

  • Afternoon workshop - Learn how to bead with Metis artist Krista Leddy

About the artist:

Métis artist Krista Leddy, AKA Beaded Chickadee is a traditional and contemporary beader. Her designs have been featured in Canadian Geographic, and her work is being featured on the cover of the book Stories of Métis Women: Tales my Kookum Told Me, coming out August 15, 2022.
