Draw inspiration from the Alberta Craft Council’s exhibition Craft and Science, explore the interesting ways that science and craft intersect. Join exhibition artist Sarah Ritchie in exploring the dynamic possibilities of commercial paper clay in this entomological themed workshop.
What can you see on a forest floor? Using clay stamps and air dry clay, create your own little forest patch with plants and bugs!
Sarah Ritchie is a self-taught ceramic artist based out of Calgary, Alberta. She began working with ceramics in 2017 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Archaeology at the University of Calgary and working as a wildlife educator. Sarah strives to incorporate science communication and endorse positive shifts in public perspectives towards insects through her artwork.
Suitable for ages 4+, minors must be accompanied by an adult. As space is limited, we ask that all attendees register for the event.
