The Works Art & Design Festival is North America’s largest FREE, outdoor art and design festival. Once a year, The Festival transforms over a square kilometer of Edmonton’s downtown core into a visual phenomenon that invites the participation of a broad audience. For 13 days, between June and July, patrons can soak up some sun while appreciating an array of visual art, design, performance and creative ideas.

This recent series of blown glass explores the idea of an object having its own personality and vibrancy. The shapely gestures, animated colors, and soft surfaces reference the animals we keep and the notion that animals, and perhaps even objects, have a voice in today’s society.

Bee Kingdom Travelling Exhibition

This series of glassworks is a selection of pieces from the studio's 'Honey Collection,' which are multiple edition glassworks in different colours and sizes. Along with pieces are other prototypes and designs developed during the making of the Honey Collection

Bee Kingdom and Barbara Tipton
Bee Kingdom is a four person glass collective. Each member’s practice is highlighted along with collaborative sculptures. Barbara Tipton explores the idea of the cup and saucer with sculptural variations.
