Join the Alberta Craft Council for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village with site curator Becky Dahl!

In this behind-the-scenes tour, participants will get the chance to see some of the hand-crafted items from the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village (UCHV) collection. Led by the site curator Becky Dahl, the group will be shown a selection of artifacts that are kept in the storage areas and hear about the considerations for displaying items in the historic buildings. Pamela Trischuk, Head of Education and Interpretation at the UCHV will guide participants through the new exhibit Make Mend and Modify: Ukrainians Adapting in Alberta where participants will have the opportunity to see other items from the collection and hear how Ukrainian settlers in east central Alberta were adapting to life in a new land. A visit to three historic buildings in the overview area of the site will conclude the tour and show participants the way the UCHV presents the history of settlement to East Central Alberta.
