St. Albert Bird Walk with Erin Dykstra and Vicki Trombley of Wild Birds Unlimited

  • Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park Day Use Area 400 Ray Gibbon Drive St. Albert, AB, T8N 3Z3 Canada (map)

In this walking tour Erin and Vicki of Wild Birds Unlimited will take you on a bird watching tour through the Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park.

We hope to see many returning migrants, including several species of waterfowl, blackbirds, shorebirds, and potentially even birds of prey!

Be sure to bring your own (or borrow!) binoculars to catch all the details as we explore the park and its marsh bird population.

The walk will last 1 to ½ hours, please dress appropriately. The Park has wheelchair accessible boardwalks and washrooms.

This tour is for all experience levels and will be of particular interest to those applying to the Albirda call http://www.albertacraft.ab.ca/acc-calls-for-entry

Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park is located along the western edge of St. Albert and Edmonton. The Park is recognized as a globally significant important bird area for its abundant and diverse bird populations, especially waterfowl and shorebirds.
