About the artist: Deanne Underwood grew up in a military family, and moved from Labrador to Manitoba and finally Saskatchewan. She became a professional dancer after graduation which took her from Toronto to Vancouver. She has been a resident of Edmonton since 2003, raising a family and running her own business as an RMT. With family spread from coast to coast, she and her family continue to travel Canada, visiting their favourite people and places. 

Deanne fell in love with art at a young age. She began teaching herself how to work with wool in 2017 and started creating in earnest in 2020. What began as a passionate hobby quickly grew into a full time business. Her pieces are full of vibrant colour and texture and depict a wide range of Canadian landscape with a special focus on Alberta and Saskatchewan.
