Tickets: Free, registration is required.
During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to warp a basic frame loom, how to do a plain tabby weave, as well as a soumak weave and how to create shapes and patterns with these stitches. Students will also learn how to finish their mini weavings and take them off the loom.
All materials with be provided including a mini laser cut wooden loom to take home! Participants are welcome to bring their yarn if they like.
All ages are welcome, all minors must be accompanied by an adult, children under 11 must have a dedicated adult helper to assist them with the process.

About your Instructor:
I'm a queer textile artist based in Edmonton. My primary practice is in weaving and spinning; and I am particularly I tested in exploring the relationship between fine craft methods and sustainability. I have been an instructor at Fern’s School of Craft for several years, and have also been a guest instructor at the Prairie Fibre Fest and Stash Yarn Lounge.
