Create your own glass holiday ornament or candy bowl under the experienced tutelage of Leah Kudel of Suspended Studio. Each workshop will have a maximum of 4 participants, with each participant having approximately 15 minutes to create. Participants have a choice between creating a own Holiday ornament or a festive candy bowl!

Every so often, a piece breaks while being created. Due to time constraints, you might not be able to recreate your piece before the end of the workshop. In this situation, we will remake your piece for you at a later date, so that you still get to bring home a beautiful piece of glass.

Please note that glass takes time to cool down and will be available to take home as of Tuesday, November 15 at the Alberta Craft Council and Gallery during normal opening hours. If shipping is required, please arrange directly with Suspended Studios at the end of your workshop.

Workshop Times:

• 4 - 5:15pm

• 5:15 - 6:30pm

• 6:30 - 7:45pm

• 7:45 - 9pm

There will also be the opportunity to shop for unique glass items during the event.

This workshop is suitable for ages 7-107.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note, although the studio is wheelchair friendly, you will need to be able to sit at the glassblowing bench and not your wheelchair in order to blow glass.

There is a mandatory waiver that must be signed prior to arrival in order to participate in this workshop. You will receive it in your order confirmation email.

Leah Kudel is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer with a studio practice based in glass. Achieving a Bachelor of Art Education, University of Alberta (2007) and a Bachelor of Fine Art in Glass, Alberta College of Art and Design (2015), Leah has now worked as an artist in various studios across the USA, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Denmark, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Croatia, Fiji and is currently based out of her Suspended Studio in Edmonton, Canada. You may also recognize Leah from Netflix’s Blown Away Season 1.
