Watch an artist transform a blob into beauty, learn about the tools and equipment, hear a bit of history, peruse our gallery, and simply enjoy hanging out in the hot shop. It’s a great Sunday escape. You’ll get a hands-on experience creating an ornament with the assistance of a professional glassblower.

About the artist: “There’s always a second chance with glass,” says Hayden MacRae who began pursuing his passion for the medium at age 13. Hayden grew up learning from well-known local artists and continues to hone his skills, exploring new techniques in solo and collaborative work. Hayden’s pieces have been featured in the Alberta Craft Gallery in Calgary and he’s represented in galleries across Canada.
