Summer Job Opportunity: Crafts Conference and Event Coordinator

Salary: $12.20/hour, 40 hours/week
Job Description:
The Alberta Craft Council (ACC) and the Canadian Crafts Federation (CCF) are seeking a student intern to assist with project and event planning, administration, promotion and communications. Applicants must have keen writing, editing and organizational skills and experience working directly with the public. The position will focus on assisting the ACC with preparations for a national craft conference, as well as Alberta based craft activities and projects.
Qualifications:
• Enrolled in a full time college or university level program in Fine Craft, Studio Art, Graphic Design, Art Administration, Communications, Tourism or a related field.
• Experience working with a not for profit or charitable organization as a staff member or volunteer.
• Working knowledge of Office Suite and experience with online and web based tools research and communications.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is required, intermediate French is an asset.
• Applicants must be Canadian residents between 15 - 30 years of age, returning to school full time in September 2016.
