Inventing the Figure in Clay
July 29, 2013 - August 02, 2013
Using basic handbuilding skills, this workshop will encourage you to explore the possibilities of imagining and constructing the figure in clay. Freestanding figures and wall-pieces of various scales will be explored, with attention given to the incorporation of found/mixed-media objects and alternative glazing/finishing techniques. This workshop will work with your own imagination, so you are encouraged to do some preliminary work in your sketchbooks to bring to the first class. Sign up!
