Luke Weiser
Available at the Alberta Craft Gallery - Calgary & Edmonton
Originally from Sechelt, BC, Luke Weiser’s home is in Calgary and the Rocky Mountains, where he can spend his days hiking the trails. He learned to fly fish on the Salmon River, between Vernon and Kamloops, from his father, and after twenty-six years of other jobs, Luke decided he could handcraft distinct flyrods that paid homage to this sport.
The learning process led him to learn techniques on metalsmithing and gem identification. Luke furthered his career at the prestigious Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco and The Gemological Institute of America. Reserved, thoughtful, and meticulous, Luke creates fly fishing rods from the finest bamboo. His jewellery line highlights the beauty of gems and woods. He creates simple elegance.
