Join Alberta Craft and Kim Burns for her SPOTLIGHT reception on Saturday, July 20, from 2 - 4pm.
Kim Burns uses felted vessels as a metaphor for the human body and an expression of grief of the loss of her mother. The body is but a vessel, souls departed, pain free and at peace. These vessels of felt, hand-dyed fabric, porcupine quills, and crochet are holders of residual emotions and dreams. The makings of a journey on reflection and our own mortality, finding the beauty in mottled, aging skin and embracing the imperfections of our own aging vessels.
