Join the Alberta Craft Council as we explore the newly opened Wildly Sensitive Discovery Gallery exhibition, and tour three Edmonton independent clay studios. Ceramics and ceramic classes have become incredibly popular in recent years, and we want to share with you why! Gain insight into what you can do at leading local studios, meet the instructors and experience an intimate tour of their studio spaces. You will also have the opportunity to find out about upcoming classes and workshops and opportunity to shop their wares.
The tour will begin at the Alberta Craft Council’s downtown Gallery location with an exhibition tour and artist talk of Annette ten Cate’s Wildly Sensitive ceramics exhibition. The self-driving tour will continue on to Viva Clayworks, The Shop Art and Ceramic Studio, and Studio72 before finishing off at locally owned Longroof Brewing for craft beer and conversation. The Super Amigos taco bar too will be on hand as well to make sure you have something tasty to go with your favourite beer.
Thanks to the generosity of Longroof Brewing, one luck attendee will win a Longroof prize pack!

The Shop is a space that offers both classes and studio space for rent. Classes and facilities include beginner to advanced pottery, slip casting, and mould making. It provides alternative spaces for practicing artists with flexible and 24/7 access and has a strong supportive community where learning and material exploration can be shared.
Viva Clayworks is a team of talented ‘cerama-siblings’ who have come together to create a phenomenal teaching studio. The Viva Clayworks has 12 wheels and a ton of space to create and is a great space to sink your hands in the clay and learn pottery. Open since 1995, the off Whyte Avenue has been a haven for clay creatives who are interested in hand forming and wheel works, or just want to buy one-of-a-kind works of art.
