"This Wide Open Sky"

Deanne Underwood draws inspiration from the spectacular landscape that surrounds her – the prairies and mountain ranges of Western Canada. Using wool as a medium she applies a combination of needle and wet felting techniques to craft artwork that is saturated with colour and energy. Her dimensional felt paintings are created by layering and texturizing fiber and the finished works are often mounted in vintage or reclaimed frames.
