Meet the nominees: Linda Stanier & Family Memorial Award 2018

This endowed award celebrates the life of Linda Stanier and honours excellence in studio ceramics.

◾️Tanya Doody is a ceramicist with an evolving practice that likes to engage ceramics in new and unexpected ways. Working in ceramics for over twenty years, she designs and makes functional ceramics for daily use in under Tanya Doody Ceramics, while making poetic use of ceramic materials in her live performance art.

 ◾️Dawn Candy is a visual artist living and working in Red Deer, Alberta. Little Sister Pottery is her collection of functional ceramics inspired by pattern, rythm, and landscape, both wild and cultivated.

This endowed award celebrates the life of Linda Stanier, honouring excellence in ceramics. The nominees should work and reside in Alberta and be primarily a studio-based, full-time professional ceramic artist.
