"In terms of a transcendent art experience, this year’s Works Art and Design Festival is hit and miss — but worth the archeology.
In my tour of its two-dozen-plus venues over two days (with a soundtrack of Judas Priest and Neutral Milk Hotel), I saw the festival’s purported theme of collaboration bucked by the strength of its orbiting solo shows and the relative weakness of the headliners — if such a thing can be said to truly exist in an ambitious art event occupying several square blocks of our downtown core."
