Emily Parke-Koll, Calgary

Emily has been pursuing her passion with textiles for the past 17 years and has been fabric dyeing since 1991. Emily studied at both Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC and Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, AB where she graduated with distinction from the textiles department in 1994. Over the years Emily has won numerous awards of academic and artistic achievement, and has sold many pieces of her work to private collections internationally. She has worked at the Banff Centre and Stratford Festival as Head Textile Dyer and has contributed to various theatre, dance and film projects throughout the world as a dyer. Emily will be collaborating with designer Kathleen Todoruk on a coat inspired by Carmen.
